ParkMan Oy (later also ""ParkMan"", ""we/our/us"") collects personal data about the users of its services and visitors of its websites (later also “you”, “user”, “visitor”) whilst providing its services. We are committed to respecting your privacy and following all applicable data protection laws. Purposes of processing personal data

Personal data is collected, managed and processed by ParkMan to the extent that is necessary for providing our services (comprising ParkMan app and ParkMan online services such as company admin page and other services) and running the ParkMan website and for the related legitimate interests of ParkMan and its partners. These purposes include the following: ParkMan app and ParkMan online services (together "ParkMan Services"): Enabling the functions of the Services (such as user identification, locating and finding parking spaces and billing); Maintaining the customer relationship (such as communication with the user and providing information about the use of our Services); Marketing as well as targeting of marketing and features of our Services (e.g. recommending parking lots) based on the data collected on the use of our Services; Maintaining, developing and compiling statistics about the use of our Services; Disclosing certain information to parking providers and parking enforcement personnel for the purpose of validating parking events as described in section 6 and in order to enable them to offer you the best possible service; Ensuring ParkMan’s business interests related to the use of our Services (such as validating parking events, billing and collecting payments); Research and development (such as testing, research, analysis and product development)

The groups of data subjects and data collected by ParkMan

This section explains what data we collect and use and where we get the data.
ParkMan obtains the personal data of its users primarily from the users themselves upon them using the ParkMan Services or providing the data when visiting the ParkMan website. For example, we collect data upon signing up to the ParkMan app and upon using the ParkMan app. If you wish for us to contact you, we may collect your contact information on our website. As regards corporate clients, data about the users of ParkMan Services is received from the administrator of such corporate client. Personal details can also be collected through certain other means such as via phone from the user or via user surveys, contact forms or contacts made by ParkMan to the user.

ParkMan can collect the following information about the users:

 The sharing of information

To ensure that the ParkMan Services work in the intended manner, ParkMan must share certain parking-related information about the user to the partners providing parking (comprising data on parkings provided by these parking providers) as well as their representatives such as city parking wardens and private parking companies. Further, corporate clients receive data on parking events paid with the company’s card. The parking providers and parking wardens are data controllers in relation to the data they collect, and responsible for processing the data in ways that comply with the applicable laws. ParkMan takes appropriate measures to ensure that the third parties accessing data collected by ParkMan process such data in accordance with the applicable laws by e.g. entering into agreements with such partners. ParkMan can use third parties as data processors to ensure a working service. These parties can include for example payment providers, hosting services and debt collection agencies. ParkMan makes sure that it has valid legal agreements with each data processor to ensure that personal data collected by ParkMan is handled within limitations set by law and to the extent that is required for offering services to ParkMan. The personal data processors used by ParkMan have access only to information required for certain purposes, and the handling of this information is done only for predetermined purposes and in accordance with mutually agreed data protection and security practices. The personal data collected by ParkMan is not shared with third parties apart from those mentioned in this Privacy Policy without the consent of the user, unless legislation or decisions by competent authorities demand otherwise. Google, Facebook and other third parties may use cookies to show appropriate ads. The information collected by such services will follow their privacy practices. Data security principles

The data collected by ParkMan is maintained, by us or by a third party authorised by us, as an electronically collected registry. The registry is protected by using appropriate technical and organizational security measures. Access to the registry is monitored for example using user-specific IDs and passwords.

The duration of storing data

In general, ParkMan stores the information given by you until the end of the customer relationship. This makes it possible for users to view their parking history and for ParkMan to validate parkings and transactions. The user is entitled to request the removal of digitally stored information about them. Upon ending the customer relationship, the user can request the removal of personal details, in which case all personal details are deleted, and the user data is anonymized into a format in which it cannot be connected to a natural person or a company. In certain cases, to comply with our contractual obligations towards parking providers, we may store some data for a maximum of two years after the end of the customer relationship.

The rights of inspection and refusal

The user has the right to make requests to ParkMan about the processing of personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, including, but not limited to the right to request access to personal data about the user; the right to request correction or deletion of said data; the right to request restrictions to said data processing or to object the processing; the right to move said data from one system to another; The user also has the right to prohibit the usage of his/her information for marketing purposes. The user can contact ParkMan’s customer support by using the contact details described in this Privacy Policy and on the ParkMan website. We do all the necessary procedures to make sure that we are communicating with you and no one else before we act upon your requests. The right to file a complaint to an authority. Based on the applicable laws, the user has the right to contact and file a complaint about the processing of personal data by ParkMan to the competent regulatory authority. ParkMan develops its service constantly, and updates this Privacy Policy based on service updates and the related legislative changes. Notifications about the changes are given upon usage of the ParkMan Services and our website. Employer as data controller

If your employer has agreed that the employer is the data controller when you are paying for work-related parking on mobile, the general terms of this privacy policy are applied regarding information that is needed to produce the service, such as user account information, information on the offered service, information on the device used, searches of parking areas, server logs, information on how you use the ParkMan Service, your indicated preferences and chosen settings. In relation to the aforementioned information, ParkMan is the data controller. Your employer is the data controller of the information needed for invoicing the parking fees when your employer and ParkMan have agreed so in reference to the service and the processing of personal data needed to deliver the service. With regards to the information your employer is the data controller of, your employer will provide you additional information on the processing of your personal data and your rights as a registered user.
